The other day at a network group one of the small business I work with in some casual conversation ask me.. Is the playing field level for a small plumber competing with a large plumber a fair playground for being found on Google in my local market? I ask permission to think about the question and respond after some research.
Let me step back some and explain why I was hesitate to answer on the spot. The reason he ask me the question? We are discussing Ad Words campaign for his business. The short answer is NO. The reason "Plumber" is a very high bid and he is a one man, one truck operation and does not have the budget to throw against the large multi location ( corp locations) plumber services in his local market with a nice advertising budget. We are working on a smaller Ad Words campaign enough said. In this case "no" he cannot compete on a level field with only Ad Words. Short Statement: I like Ad Words and work with clients with successful results.
